I was waiting for Babee. He hadn't visited K-9 Town in a while. Me and the pack, especially his young friends, miss him a lot when he stays away too long.
Funniest thing. Ma told me Babee brought home his newest best friend, to share Thanksgiving leftovers with him.
I was supposed to explain Thanksgiving, but when he arrived, he was surrounded by the females. Nothing happens until they do their well-being inspections, which includes lots of hugs and smooches.
Major Diggs, Wolf Bennie Ba and I snickered as we watched Babee's young buddies, keeping their distance, not wanting to be called upon next, regarding a recent scratch or troublesome bruise the females had discovered.
When it was over, I decided he'd been through enough. I yelled over to him, "Go play with your friends. I'll catch up with you later."
Off he went, joined by his young wilderness family. Looking for mischief to get into.
The Thanksgiving talk could wait another year. Somehow, I know Ma agrees.
