Home - From the Paths of Hidden Wonders

We've been gone a long time. We're back now...

When the warrior Big Omar came to visit, we had a chance to pow wow before he was called back to the enforcement agency he works for, called THARR. He's my uncle, and I'm named after him. We look alike, but he's much bigger.

Big Omar told me about a place to visit with my pack, called Land of Lights and Colors. I had decided before he finished telling me about it.

My early news was met with hoots, howls, and restless energy. We left soon after.

We traveled a long way, no hurry. We stayed sharp. Every rustle in the brush, every shift in the wind, kept us alert as we moved fearless but respectful through known predators' territories.

Then one morning, after the entire pack had mysteriously drifted into a deep, spellbound sleep, we awoke to find ourselves in the very place we had been seeking.

The surrounding forest blazed in shades of deep red. Pretty shrubs blanketed the ground, each leaf tipped with a soft glow. Most amazing was how we dogs shimmered beneath the towering trees, our bodies casting gentle lights.

We perused the area thoroughly. Then I gathered a few scouts and set out.

In no time, we reached an area where several forests existed side by side, yet no two looked or smelled alike. We returned to the others, so we could share these wonders together.

We spent lots of time exploring, before deciding it was time to head home.

Allowed more freedom than usual during this fun filled trek—though still watched with careful eyes—the spirited puppies wailed in protest as they were gathered in the familiar way.

The journey home was filled with the excitement of what we had experienced.

We won’t go back to the mysterious Land of Lights and Colors. It’s a realm meant to be touched only once, leaving its magic to glow in memory.  That's okay, as long as we can savor the memories at K-9 Town, where every memory feels like a part of an endless tale.

Come back soon.
