A PUPPY'S GONE MISSING

There's something going on in K-9 Town,  USA. As you can see, Penny is back and this time she looks worried.

Seems one of the Pomeranian puppies is missing and the pack is in an uproar. They've looked everywhere but can't find it. Very unusual. This has never happened before.

Omar for some reason doesn't look upset but is looking very thoughtful and anxious. He's had that same look for a while now. As if he were expecting Penny.

We know he has to go. There are no words to be said. Just come back soon Omar....and tell us what has happened.

THE MISSING POOCH

There's a wonderful town
that not many know
called K-9 Town, USA.

Where different breeds frolic
work hard to keep peace
here's what happened
 one terrible day.

A puppy had gone missing
oh where could it be
not a canine had seen it
not a clue!

A town meeting was held
a decision was made
they had to go tell
“Omar Blue”.

A compassionate leader
boy was he smart
and as brave as he could be.

He even looked into
a lion’s den
but the puppy
he still did not see.

Then a thought came to Omar
the one missing piece
he hadn’t talked with its kin!

So he went to the mommy
who suddenly recalled
her litter was nine
and not ten!

Well, the pack is happy now, and Omar is happy now. We'll just wait until he returns. He's sure to have another good tale or two for us.

The Beginning

Omar Blue was a wonderful puppy. We knew he was special the day we brought him home, when he picked up his little leash, somehow knowing we'd need it, and headed for the door.  Dad and I discovered he did this on the average of every four hours.  At eight weeks old he scheduled it perfectly.  Did all of his business outside. What a pup!

For several months, all he wanted to do was play and sleep, with his mom and dad. But as our blue Doberman Omar grew into the 120 pound beautiful canine that he is today we learned he is more than special. Even somewhat mystical.  So my story begins.....

Don't remember if I introduced you to Clickit

Well....before Omar left K-9 Town, USA to come home again, the pack had taken in a little Shih Tzu ruffneck named Clickit. Good at heart but she has to be taught the ways of the pack. Clickit actually thought she could hold our readers captive. Not a bad idea but not the way the K-9 Town pack operates.

Don't touch that keyboard.

I managed to get a picture of her before the female Elders got to her. That's her  above. The gun and the cigar, of course, have been taken far away from K-9 Town, USA. The females aren't worried at all about Clickit. They'll bring her around in no time flat.

OMAR BLUE AND K-9 TOWN, USA

The Beginning
A long, long way and some time ago
lived a dog named Omar Blue
a big, brave, mighty Blue Doberman
believe it cause it’s true.

He led a pack
 about 50 strong
and 43 puppies that year
purebreds, mixed breeds, big and small
all of them under his care.

One day while walking with his pack
Omar stopped and looked around
said “We can’t go on like this you all
we got to settle down.

We got to get some structure
especially the puppies you see
or none of them will grow up
to be all that they can be!

The first thing that we’re gonna do
find a place to be our own
then we’ll put some laws in place
and let them all be known.

I know it’s gonna be hard at first
I admit we’re pretty wile
but this is something we gonna do
cause we gotta change our style.”

It was then that Omar turned his head
and glanced in time to see
two big grizzlies watching them
from behind a big oak tree!

He ran but didn’t alert the pack
didn’t even give that a thought
because he’d administer justice
after finding out what they sought.

When Omar Blue got to the two
he asked, “Why you scoping us?”
Said the biggest grizzly he’d ever seen
“Five puppies and there’ll be no fuss!”

OMAR’S FACE WENT TO ANOTHER PLACE

“Now let’s get this clear
while you standing here
you think you gonna bother a pup?”
But as he moved up closer to them
the rest of his pack ran up.

There was Major Diggs
Lab-Dalmatian mix
who was Omar’s very best friend
there was Wally the Collie
his pretty wife Polly
the Pitts and all their kin.

It was Rottweiler Brady who finally spoke
voice always firm and clear
said “Omar Blue we followed you
what’s going on over here?”

Omar Blue just turned and said
“You’al won’t believe these two
they’re saying they want five puppies
now how’s that sound to you?

Why didn’t they just
ask for um all
all the puppies in our pack?
Cause either way
they gonna learn today
that they’d better not come back!”

OMAR BLUE SPOKE NEXT TO THE GRIZZLIES
“Now we don’t want no trouble
so we’ll start it off this way
we’re letting you go
so you can spread the word
Omar Blue’s Pack is here to stay.”

All heads turned to their leader
Is this where we’re gonna stay?

   Yes!

     A beautiful place

        With plenty of space

        We'll call it

         K-9 Town, USA
