Now, Ma's alter ego Ma O took over. She's storytellin' Episode One, about when I took the Pack to meet my canine kin. You've heard us talk about that, but not like she's doin' over at our new YouTube channel.

A message from the Pack

My baby brother, Babee Blue, came to be with me for a while. Said he came to help fight the Grizzlys. I had a hard time convincing him we weren't worrying about Dirty Sam and his bears.

Babee told me some of you are sad about losing the dogs here at K-9 Town, that can't come back to you.

Read their message. Ma fancied it up for you. They're happy and doing fine.

I went lookin' for Grizzly leader Dirty Sam. It was time to go over boundaries again. We've been noticing the bears starting to wander closer to K-9 Town. They're up to no good.

"What you lookin' for, Sam?" I woofed, when I spotted him sprawled out in comfort on a hill nearby, gazing down on K-9 Town. "Why are you'al ignoring the boundaries?"

His narrowed eyes and impish grin betrayed him as he avoided my glowering stare. "We ain't doing nothing' but lookin' Omar. Just tryin' to be friendly, is all," he grunted. 

"You make sure that's all you're doing, Sam," I snarled, knowin' better. "We don't want no trouble, but if that's what you're huntin'..."

Sam jerked forward, ready to lunge, who does he think he's barkin' at, then thought better of it. He hoisted his bulk, glared at me with furious squinted eyes and trotted away. He was good and mad.

"I'll be seeing you, Omar Blue," Dirty Sam roared, without turning back.

I watched him 'til he was out of sight. Our meet ups always end the same way. At one point, the Grizzlies thought they could scare us dogs into leavin' our home. But after witnessing how we handled other threats, they backed off.

It ain't over. It'll never be over. The Grizzlies are a bad bunch, but we ain't worried about them. As long as they keep their distance...

K-9 Town - All Dogs Welcome

They're learnin' about us. Some come to get away for a while. Some can't go back.

Doesn't matter. They're all welcome here. 

We keep an eye out. Don't want them meetin' up with any unsavory creatures, 'til they're ready.

Keeping secrets

Ma's alter ego, Ma O, is here, setting up camp for our new YouTube storytellin' channel. She's not being fair. Won't tell us nothing about it. Says it gonna be a surprise.

That's mighty exciting, but we need to know what she's up to. What if she needs some protectin'?

I sent in one of our best puppy spies to get the scoop, but you know Ma, she suspected what we were up to. I think she saw me peeping in, without even looking back.

The pack will be meeting later, to come up with a way to out-fox Ma. We're doubtful, but it'll be fun tryin'. It's nice havin' her close by, even if she can't stay long.

One thing for sure, our YouTube storytelling channel is gonna be full of excitement and adventures. We're just takin' a little break now.

New friends - nothing like 'um

Creatures of the woodlands envy the new friendships between the K-9 Town pack and the brutal Tree Ogres, though they've never offered kindness.

Omar says, the Ogres aren't bad... just misunderstood. The dogs and the ancient wood demons get along just fine.

An unusual loner, one day Sandy returned to K-9 Town totin’ four cute little pups, along with their thankful Pa and Grandma, Kooley and Rasta Mama.

None knew at the time, that this would be Sandy’s greatest find, though Omar felt a strange connection with the elderly female, whose intense gaze never left his.

Puppy Talk: Ready to Rumble

Omar:  Sophie had us howling a while back, about hearing the puppies threatening to handle the mountain lion Rottweiler Brady had to discipline. This happened just before we left to visit my clan at Iron Dog Land. Those puppies... What a hoot!

Here's what happened. ("Led By An Eagle" excerpt)

K-9 Town was buzzing 

they were visiting Omar’s kin

the females were getting ready

the puppies were in their den.

 

They were practicing their snarling

as they listened to Le, Li and Lu

tell how Professor Brady

broke the giant mountain lion in two.

 

The Chihuahua puppy triplets

the puppy leaders too

yelped, that lion should have come to us

to hear what our professor could do.

 

They laughed 'til their little tummies ached

then they laughed some more

bet we could handle, that mountain lion

if he ever comes to our door.

 

Maybe we’ll get to see ‘um

on the way to leader Omar’s kin

we’ll run away from the shepherds

and beat him up again.

 

Poodle Sophie Jean scurried in

schoolmarm and Brady’s wife

she had to hold her laugher in

it might just save a life.

 

What’s this you say, about running away

while the shepherds, are watching you

I tell you now, if you try it

we’ll be all over you.

 

Ain’t talkin about the professor

I’m leavin the shepherds out too

‘cause me and the other females

are the ones, gonna handle you!

 

Now quiet down, and take your naps

there’s a real long trip ahead

when you wake up we’ll be leavin’

but remember what I just said.

 

The puppies grumbled softly

when Sophie was out of view

the female elders didn’t play

when they came after you.

 

With groggy eyes they yapped their plan

that lion would still be there

they’d take the professor with them

then the females wouldn’t care.

 

So off they went to dreamland

nothing else they could do

in a little while they’d be bigger

they’d take Pitbull Sammy too.

Ready to go

On a moon lit night,

a meeting is held,

at K-9 Town, USA.

The adventure to come,

will be more than expected,

they'll soon be on their way.
