Omar Blue, Babee Blue and the Naughty Puppies

I'm still waiting for my baby brother, Babee Blue. Ma keeps saying he'll be home soon. Does anyone know when "soon" is?
Look at him. Five weeks old, weighing in at 8 lbs., 14 oz. He's growing pretty fast. "Soon" can't be much longer.

Me and Ma have been doing a lot of talking about puppies lately. Of course, that brings to mind the K-9 Town puppies. Babee Blue will have so much fun with them. He has so much to learn.
When we first started K-9 Town, the puppies were stubborn and didn't want to learn anything. Did we tell you about that?
Bet Ma wouldn't mind telling you.

No Omar, I wouldn't mind at all. Here goes....

Was a balmy dark September day, in K-9 Town, USA.
The Elders were hunting and harvesting food, while the puppies, of course, were at play.
Now what’s wrong with this picture? I said “September day.”
The puppies should be in training, but the teacher has gone away.

Boy, how the little tikes loved it, but the Elders could certainly see,
they were getting into more mischief, and wilder than they should be.

We have to find a new teacher, the last one won’t be back.
He left to help some kin folk, he had to leave the pack.

Omar Blue was thoughtful, remembering back a ways,
when Rottweiler Brady had told him, about his teaching days.

So he went to talk to Brady, who’d just married Sophie Jean.
He asked if he would help out, he and his poodle queen.

Brady was excited, because teaching was his second love.
He’d do the job, with Sophie’s help, and some from the Gods above.

Omar Blue called a meeting, everything was gonna be great.
Professor Brady and Sophie Jean, would keep those puppies straight.

Meanwhile at the edge of town, under The Big Oak Tree.
The puppies sat and talked about, how great it was to be free!

The Chihuahua triplet leaders, were never seen apart.
As soon as one would say a word, the other two would start.

They became the yipping leaders, since it was always three to one.
The others took to listening, cause nothing else could be done.

“Let’s get the other puppies,” said leaders Lee, Lii and Luu.
“Make them come quick as they can, we’ve got some news for you.”

When the other pups got to the tree, they told what they had heard.
Rottie Brady is gonna be the new teacher, now isn’t that absurd?

We’ll have a ball in training this fall, not gonna listen “neither!”
We’ll run and skip and play in class, he won’t do nothing “either!”

When the first day came for training, each puppy came in mad.
He asked them why? They didn't lie, "Cause being here makes us
sad."

Then Lee, Lii and Luu got busy, even had the nerve to stand.
Said, “We pups have had a meeting, we don’t need no teacher’s hand.”

Professor Brady gave a look they’d never seen before.
He said, “You three you come with me," as he headed for the door.

The three got up but slowly, showing fear the others could see.
As they watched, each puppy said under their breath, "It's better them than me."

Brady spoke to them real softly, “I know the leaders, you three.
But, don’t you come into my class, and think you’ll interrupt me.

We were put here for a reason, me and Ms. Sophie Jean.
Gonna teach you either way we can. Can be nice, or we can be mean.

Now Lee, Lii and Luu git in there, and show what smart leaders do.
Listen to us teachers, and we'll be good to you.”

Lee, Lii and Luu went back to class. Each quickly took their seat.
Sat up so nice and straight this time, couldn’t even see their feet.

“What happened, yipped Cocker puppy Joe. “What did he do out there?”
“He gave a speech, about how they’d teach, said we’d better all beware.

He also made us leaders, so listen to what we say.
You don’t wanna go outside with him, cause Professor Brady don’t play!”

Omar Blue - The Takeover - Nitro and Saifon Blue

Hi everyone. Just got in. Excuse me but I'm almost asleep on my feet. I started back to work today. If you recall, I had been a little under the weather. Don't worry, I'm okay and feeling good.

Remember, I'm our company's mascot. We're working hard to get people to know about BiggSiss. With all the violence going on around us, there is definitely a need for a cyber confidant to tell about your good, bad and unusual encounters. We call it,  "leaving a trail," just in case the unthinkable happens....If you haven't visited BiggSiss, see what we're about at http://biggsiss.com.

I'm going to get undressed and comfortable. Ma is going to update you on what's going on with my canine family.

Saifon and Nitro found out about the timber wolves coming to K-9 Town. Not good!

If you happen to wonder how I was at two places at one time, when I was a puppy, don't. You'll never figure it out.

Here comes Ma with our snacks.

"I'm ready, Ma."

Excerpt from The Takeover

Saifon Blue jumped up from a disturbing sleep. Her dangerous snarl and aggressive stance would have brought all around her into submission, all but her mate, Nitro Blue. But, they were alone.

The King and Queen of Iron Dog Land, Nitro and Saifon ruled the land of Dobermans with love and affection as well as sternness when needed.  There was never a question of leadership since Nitro and Saifon had proven, repeatedly, that they were superior.

They looked at each other and exclaimed at the same time, “Omar!”

Nitro had foreseen this moment and was ready for it.

“My baby boy is in trouble,” Saifon exclaimed. “We must go to him. Wake the others,” she commanded.

“Calm down, Saifon,” Nitro said, “and accept what you really feel.”

Saifon took a slow deep breath and seemed to go into a trance. She came out of it somewhat relaxed. She said, “He’s okay, but there’s a threat.”

Nitro looked into Saifon’s beautiful eyes.  They possessed a rare color shared by no other animal in the land and had taken control of him long ago. “There will always be a threat in the life Omar has chosen, Saifon. We have taught him to handle threats and he has exceeded our expectations,” Nitro said soothingly. “To go to his K-9 Town now would not be the thing to do. He won’t want us there.

“If the danger grows to a point beyond his capabilities,” Nitro continued, “we will know, and we will be there for him and for those who follow him.”

As usual, Nitro was right. Omar was kind and loving, but when threatened he was as fierce and savage as his father, Saifon thought to herself with pride. She had also seen first-hand that his pack was brave and loyal and would follow their leader without hesitation no matter what the circumstance.

Though she wasn’t worried to the extent that she and Nitro needed to go to Omar, she still wanted to know what was going on at K-9 Town. She decided this was a job for the warrior eagle, McZen.

There was an unexplainable connection between Saifon and McZen. They had been together for a long time. She could see things through his eyes and understand his thoughts no matter how far away he might be. As a puppy, she used this gift to her advantage.

Eagle McZen was a good friend and a great warrior. The two of them had more than once battled their way out of danger.

That was some time ago.

Omar Blue grew up with McZen as his puppy sitter. As a youngster, Omar frequently managed to slip away from the other puppies. Saifon shuttered when she remembered some of the scuffles Omar and McZen had gotten into, or out of, by themselves in the wilderness.

It took all the restraint Saifon could muster not to interfere in Omar’s scuffles; but she never did. King Nitro would not hear of it and she knew he was right. Omar Blue had to learn how to survive under any circumstances. And he did.

Omar became a master of survival at a young age and because of this, too soon, it became obvious that Omar had grown restless. This was what led him to leave his home. She and Nitro had seen it coming. However, there was nothing they could do about it.

Saifon was happy now because Omar was no longer restless. That was evident. His new life, leadership, and friends had filled the void.

Nitro wasn’t worried about Omar but remembered their oldest son, Thor, talking about visiting K-9 Town to run with Wolf Bennie Ba. Thor and Bennie had kidded each other about who was fastest. This might be a good time for his son to visit Bennie.

If there was any trouble, and he’d better not start it, Thor would be the one to have with Omar and his pack. A fighter of unbeaten stature, but as fun loving as a dog could be, he and Wolf Bennie Ba had hit it off right away when the pack came to meet Omar’s kin. Thor had promised Bennie he would visit.

Whether or not Omar would like those two wild ones putting their heads together right now was something he wouldn’t worry about Nitro thought, with a sly smile covering his soft laughter.

That evening as Nitro and Saifon Blue sat with members of their canine family, enjoying the peace and comfort of Iron Dog Land, both looked out over the hills in time to see two tiny figures, one flying and one running at top speed, fade into the beautiful sunset. Each knew what the other had done.

They avoided each other’s eyes but offered smiles they knew were for each other.

THE TAKEOVER - COMING VERY SOON. STAY TUNED.

Omar Blue - The Takeover and The Puppies' Strategy

I'm waiting for my new baby brother, Babee Blue. He isn't home yet because he's too little, but Ma says he'll be here soon.

I'm going to teach him all kinds of stuff.

The K-9 Town puppies and the visiting potbelly piglets want Babee Blue to hurry too. They want him with them when the timber wolf pups try to take over. He should be ready by then. Here he is. Already 11 days old.

Excerpt from "The Takeover"

The K-9 Town puppies decided they would teach the potbellied piglets how to protect themselves. If there were big bad, mean timber wolves, there had to be little bad, mean timber wolves. Puppies and piglets agreed, they had to be ready.

They first made an opening in the bushes nearby, just big enough for timber wolf pups to know that it was for them. This was the timber wolf puppy trap.

Unfortunately, piglet training wasn't going well. The baby potbelly pigs were having too much fun with this new contact activity. So much, that they were giving no consideration to the puppies well thought out plan.

No matter what the puppies tried, the little porky babies ended up sprawled out on top of them. The puppies were starting to ache and feel sore from this training effort.

They finally decided to try another tactic. The K-9 Town puppies would lure the wolf pups through the timber wolf puppy trap. The piglets would then sprawl out on top of the little trouble making wolves.

Of course, puppy nor piglet gave thought to the fact that the same protective eyes that were watching them during their current entertaining antics, would be watching them during any confrontation. In addition, when danger became evident, the babies would do what they were trained by the elders to do, without hesitation. This alone would render them unavailable for any altercation.

After the exhaustive teaching exercises and a meal that left them wanting nothing but a resting place, both puppies and piglets were asleep in no time at all.

Potbelly pigs Sookie and Mookie's son Dukie decided he'd rest with Rottweiler Brady's bunch. It's not unusual to find this, considering the close relationships.

Timber Wolf Shocka Din and his vicious followers want to disrupt and possibly end the way of life in K-9 Town and the surrounding areas that our friends call home?

Never happen!!

Omar Blue - I'm Okay, Don't Worry

Hi Everyone. I've been busy having surgery for my Cancer. I'm feeling fine but Ma found lumps so she had them taken out of me.

Now she's keeping a sharp eye on me. I came out here to get away. I was going to take a quick trip to K-9 Town, but there she is in the doorway.

I'm watching you Omarrrr! Don't you leave this yard!!!

Oh well.... Anyway, don't forget, like Ma told you before, you should always check us for any kind of growths and make sure its nothing serious.

Guess what! I've got a baby brother. His name is Babee Blue. I can hardly wait for him to come home. I'm gonna teach him everything I know.

I've told my pack and the K-9 Town puppies can't wait to meet him. They say they are going to teach him everything "they" know too. Oh boy!

I have a picture of him for you to see. Take a look. He's the cute one.

I want Babee Blue to come home now, but Ma says he has to get bigger first. Lots of my friends have little brothers and sisters. Now I'll have one too.

I'll keep you posted.

Love youuuu. And don't worry, I'm okay.

Omar Blue and the K-9 Town Takeover

Coming soon!

A one of a kind adventure

I've been telling everyone about the timber wolves that plan to take over Omar Blue's beloved K-9 Town.

Shocka Din and his vicious followers shouldn't have gone to K-9 Town.  Omar and his pack are teaching them that......very slowly.

Excerpt:

Wolf Bennie Ba was looking down on a pack of timber wolves, led by his old enemy, Shocka Din. This was the same group that had pounced on him a while back, when he was running wild and known as "The Ghost."

It seemed so long ago.

The timber wolves left him for dead after the attack. They dragged away the two pack members he had killed in the fight and tended to a scar that Shocka would wear forever.

Bennie had to discover Shocka Din's plans. If the timber wolves planned to do harm to Omar Blue and the pack who had found and nursed him back to good health, it would be worth all he could give, including his life, to find out.

Omar and the K-9 Town pack were his family. They had brought out qualities that he never realized he possessed. Additionally, he was feeling better than he ever had, thanks to the females’ nurturing ways.

This was his train of thought as he bravely walked into the camp of Shocka Din.

Wolf Bennie Ba was again, The Ghost.

If trouble started here, there would be a few less for Omar Blue to handle because he intended to leave his mark. He would start with Shocka Din.

Big black timber wolf Shocka Din couldn't conceal his amazement when he saw The Ghost push his way through his followers to come face to face with him.

“Well, well,” he snarled. “We heard you were in the area. I have to admit you look pretty good considering how we left you.”

“Bet you can't say that about the two you all had to drag away,” said The Ghost.

“Ha. What do you want here and what makes you think you'll get away alive, Ghost?” growled Shocka Din with a deadly look on his face.

“I want to know why you're here. You know I don't have a problem dying,” said The Ghost.

Shocka looked hard, remembering what a fierce warrior The Ghost was. No, he didn't have a problem dying and no doubt would take more of Shocka's followers with him.

There would be plenty of time to avenge the followers savagely killed by The Ghost. With that in mind, Shocka decided there was no reason not to tell The Ghost his plans.

Shocka began, but was interrupted. “By the way, said The Ghost, I'm called Bennie Ba now.

You can call me Bennie,” he said, amused at Shocka Din's expression........

That was my friend Bennie Ba. He's as brave and loyal as they come. My whole pack is that way.

There's plenty going on at K-9 Town right now. Me and my pack love the excitement. We're taking it as it comes. Until we're ready to put an end to it.

Ma's gonna tell you the whole story in our new book, THE TAKEOVER.

Coming soon!

Omar Blue - Puppy Games

Omar started back to work today as BiggSiss mascot. He's feeling fine now, thank goodness, and was ready to go. He likes letting people know that there are ways to become proactive against abusive situations that they might know about or unfortunately, be victims of.

After work, he didn't even come in to get undressed. As you can see, he had something on his mind.

I went out front. "Okay Omar, spill it!" I said.

He started, "Alright, Ma.

The K-9 Town puppies are learning to play ball. They asked if they could have their first game at leader Omar's other home today, which is here.

I kind of said yes. I knew you'd want to see them and some of my Pack that are bringing them. Right, Ma?"

Caught off guard, I had just figured out what I was going to say, but I didn't get a chance.

I heard a noise coming from the backyard. I went around the house and saw poodle Sophie Jean and little Polo from K-9 Town, with Major Diggs giving him orders from the other side of the yard.

I also noticed my niece Pepper's handsome Labrador, Kingston, who was spending the day with us. He had invited some of his friends to see him referee the puppies. Omar and I laughed when he told me this because Kingston wasn't used to the K-9 Town pups' level of energy. You'll see how he made out later.  But hearing what his roll was going to be broke the ice and Omar took this to be his answer.

Everywhere I looked there were puppies and dogs with balls, either ready to play, or already playing. I didn't realize I had sent so many balls to K-9 Town.

I made me some hot chocolate, bundled up and went back out. Omar had my lawn chair waiting for me.

Some of the older dogs sat near me.

You may remember Omar's dear friend Batdog? She took time out from patrolling New York and Gotham Cities to come referee the games too. Look at her showing her ball handling style. Omar says she promised him she'd stop working so hard and start having more fun like she's doing here.

Later, she's watching the game closely because she knows the puppies aren't beyond throwing tricks into the game. Here's an example.

One of the refs is calling time out for this team, for using unnecessary roughness. Boy are those puppies angry.

This mom had a team of her own. They may look calm now, but they went wild on the field.

The little ones below found a shady spot and were waiting patiently until they decided to run out on the field and grab the other teams' balls.  Now they are on a time out penalty.

The game was a real thriller. Look at Polo. He's using one of the "fake out" plays  Major Diggs had just taught him. Lil Blackie cried fowl because Diggs hadn't showed it to him, so everything stopped so he could be shown that move too. Then they continued. By then I was falling out of my seat with laughter and the canines were howling.

After staying up most of the night practicing, these three were lazily sizing up the competition. They ended up falling asleep and were so comfortable, they wouldn't wake up when it was time for them to play.

Here's referee Boxer Bella (It may be brother Buster. I couldn't tell from where I was positioned.) about to throw in the ball for the last play of the game.

I found out later that this little blue Pit had spent his time taking and hiding every ball he came across. He got caught because he couldn't control his last batch.

By the time he was caught, the puppies had had all they could take of this ballgame thing. They quit playing ball and started playing their normal games. Not that there were winners or losers, anyway.

The last ones off the field were the same as the first ones on the field.

I watched Major Diggs and the proud little Polo as he yapped excitedly. They were so cute.

My niece picked up Kingston earlier, and just called me.

She said Kingston is so beat, he didn't even stop for a snack. Instead he went straight to bed and was asleep while we were talking.

I had to share this. I hope Kingston's buddies aren't looking.

All in all, it turned out to be a wonderful day. Omar was right to bring the game home but of course I'm not going to tell him that. I'll just wait and see what he and his K-9 Town Pack have in store for me next.

I'm sure I won't have to wait long.

Omar Blue - Don't Worry I'm Okay

Hi my friends. Don't worry, I'm okay. We caught it in time.

Ma had been watching two bumps on my legs about the size and hardness of marbles. Our vet operated and found low grade cancer in one of them. I don't need radiation or anything, but I have to take special pills. The cancer specialist says I should be fine, but we have to watch carefully, forever, just in case.

I tried to stay away from the stitches but I couldn't so now I have to wear the Cone of Shame.

Luckily, I'm not feeling bad, but Ma is making me take it easy.

Just for a while though.

Please be careful like my Ma everyone. Keep checking us to make sure you don't feel anything.

I've had plenty company. The females from my Pack at K-9 Town came to see me. They were dressed up in the new collars Ma sent them for Christmas. Aren't they something.

They wanted to make sure Ma knew how to take care of me. They think they can do better, but felt pretty good after seeing me and giving Ma lots of instructions before they left.

Ma likes when members of my Pack come to see us. She knows how much they love and depend on me.

They'll be fine, now that they've seen me.

I won't have to wear this thing much longer, if I can't bother my stitches.

Thank goodness.

Bye everyone. See you soon. Don't worry, I'm okay.

Omar Blue - The Takeover - Shocka Din meets King Cat Sateer

Hi everyone. I haven't seen you since my birthday. I've been working. Don't forget I'm our company's mascot. Ma says that's a big job and I'm an excellent mascot for BiggSiss. I'll be with you as soon as I get undressed.

In the meantime, take a look at how Me, Ma and Sister Joy's work is paying off. We're in one of the popular magazines. Richmond Magazine.

I'm back now. We're settling down. Ma got a fire going.

Remember the vicious timber wolves that arrived at K-9 Town. There is going to be trouble, that's for sure. We're just waiting for them to start something.

In the meantime, I'll fill you in on what happened shortly before they arrived. Ma has decided to make this another chapter in her book.

- - - - - - - - - -

Shocka Din and his band of ferocious timber wolves continued in search of Omar Blue and the town they intended to overrun.

As they focused more on their surroundings, there came an overwhelming sensation that something wasn’t right. The timber wolves walked in almost complete silence.
Shocka’s acute senses had never failed him. The feeling that something was about to happen consumed him.
He was about to alert his followers when there came a barrage of rocks, sticks and undetermined objects, all aimed at them.
Coming from the trees.
They looked up and were amazed to see “cats,” running through the branches like monkeys, every once in a while crossing their paths at high speeds, showing absolutely no fear of him or the others. How could this be? Why were they being attacked?
By cats!
If only they could catch a few to make examples of them, but they were too fast. They were only blurs.
Shocka looked around for the leader. There had to be one. This was no random attack.
Finally, he saw what he was looking for. Their eyes locked for a long moment, then King Cat Sateer let out a low meow, and as quick as they had appeared, all of the cats were gone.
As they travelled back to Catdom, King Sateer thought to himself, “Omar wouldn’t mind that we had a little fun.  I want those timber wolves to recognize early that this land and its inhabitants are unlike any they have intruded upon before.
A small lesson indeed, compared to what is in store for them when they reach K-9 Town.” He chuckled as he picked up the pace to a run that would have them back at Catdom in no time at all.

- - - - - - - - - -

I'm not the least bit surprised at what my friend King Cat Sateer did. If you recall, I told you he was planning something when I visited him. I'm just glad Shocka Din didn't catch any of that brave bunch.

I don't need to worry about those cats because after Major Diggs, King Sateer is the best strategist I know. I've seen him and his cats outwit adversaries when the odds were against them, many times.

I'm going to dose off for awhile now, then I'll be headed for K-9 Town. I miss my pack when I stay away too long. They are always so glad to see me. Ma understands. There is nothing like it.

Thanks for coming to see me. I'll be back soon.

Omar Blue - The Birthday Boy

It's my birthday today, January lst. Ma says all my friends celebrate on my birthday.

Thank you for celebrating my birthday.

I had a party. I'm just getting back from making sure everyone got home safe. Especially the little ones. They all live in the neighborhood.

We had fun talking about the party as we all walked together. I didn't tell Ma how much noise we were making. Lol. That was some bunch. Dogs and cats. We all got along.

I told them as they arrived to "leave the hostility at the door." They did.

I took a group picture.

I'm back home now. Me and Ma just finished straightening up. It's been a wonderful birthday but now I'm pretty tired. I couldn't wait to get off my feet.

Ma says there is always someone watching over me, but I never see them.

I'm just taking a little nap, then I'm going to finnniishhh celebrattttin........

Luv youuuu......
