While sitting with my Omar Blue
An idea came to me
Turkeys for his K-9 pack
They celebrate too you see.
I learned of this on Halloween
Remember, I told you
They’re celebrating Thanksgiving now
And they’ll celebrate Christmas too.

I showed Omar a turkey
Here’s proof he licked his lip
But instead of saying he’d take them
He offered me another tip.
Ma you always mean well
And the turkey sure looks good
But this ain’t the way we do things
Though it’s nice to know we could.
I’ll tell you now about Jai and Ach
My Bull Terrier friends
They’re taking charge of our first Thanksgiving
No turkeys and no hens.

They’re sending us out to get the meal
The male Elders and females too
While we go fishing to do our part
The females will gather stuff too.
The puppies will be playing
At trying to outsmart the pack
But never going far from Jai and Ach
Don’t wanna miss their next snack.
Now doesn’t this sound good to you
We’re doing it our own way
I had to admit it sounded great
K-9 Town’s first Thanksgiving Day.
