Greetings! Babee and I are glad you made it. Omar Blue lived at home with us, until the higher calling. Then against all odds, he and his fierce, but peace seeking pack, founded "K-9 Town." How they exist in this mystifying wilderness, is a tale that comes with exciting adventures, that test their strengths -- and weaknesses. You are now, a part of this enchanting journey. At home and beyond... Welcome.
Bring the kids to a place where love, family and friendships prevail... Right here!
Subliminal guidance? Why not.
I was looking out from one of my favorite spots, taking in the fresh air and beauty of it all. I’m mighty thankful.
I let out a soft growl when I
noticed a dark spot approaching. “Umm, what’s that.” Leaning forward, with
squinted eyes, I made ‘em out. What a surprise! It was Rottie Brady’s half-sibling
Brock, and lots more of his kin. I ran down, to tell the others.
Knowing some excitement was
in store, the energetic wails and howlings lit the wilderness.
A stone-faced pack of fierce dogs strode into K-9 Town. Without a woof, they eyed us with penetrating stares, under furrowed brows. We didn’t object because of who they were. It was their way of sensing stress... They came to wage war on our enemies.
Determining there were no worries here, tense muscles and jaws relaxed.
The packs began mixing with
friends they hadn’t seen in a while as leader Brock, known for his hot temper
and ability to back it up, ambled over to Brady and me. “Heard you’al were
having some trouble… Anything left for us to handle?”
“What do you think!” Brady barked
feigning annoyance with narrowed eyes and a brassy sigh. He had bearly got the
words out when Brock returned his wisecrack with a snickering grunt, then with
blurred quickness and agility, pounced on his half-sibling, roaring, “Here’s
what I think!”
The gleeful duo tumbled across
the field in a knot, tussled, did some snarling, then repeated each move as the
rest of us vigorously cheered them on. When they finally tuckered out - chests
heaving, tongues dangling - we were as drained as they were.
We all laid out together while I told how the trip to visit my kin turned into a wild adventure.
The
Rottweilers listened intently, practically disregarding the mountain lions – more
interested in Iron Dog Land, King and Queen Nitro and Saifon, and the warrior
eagle McZen.
Until then, they thought it
all a myth. Finding out that was my home, Ma and Pa and eternal mentor, rendered
them speechless. We agreed they would go along the next time we visited.
After an update from Brock on
what the daring Rotties had been up to lately, with warm goodbyes, our good
friends departed.
I went back to my secluded
spot and watched with unbridled fondness as another extension of my K-9 Town family,
faded into the mist.
