Black like the Professor, beautiful like his schoolmarm

Yes, black as coal and poodle handsome. That's it. Now we know. Strength, courage and beauty. He'll have it all!

Afghan Bee Bee and the female Elders finally finished grooming newborn Beauregard. I've never seen anything like it. Since when do dogs worry about things like that. The females take them as soon as they can stand up straight. I wanted to see how they did it, but I couldn't. I guess its just another thing that makes K-9 Town, USA special. As usual, for the non believers, I was able to get a picture. Don't ask me about the color because that's not what I saw when I took it. I did get us Beauregard though.

Anyway...isn't little Beau something. He's so big! And in just one week. It seems to be a natural thing in K-9 Town, USA.

Beau's already playing with the other puppies. They love him and have begun "teaching him the ropes." Chihuahua puppy triplet leaders Lee, Lii and Luu, say its now Lee, Lii, Luu and Beau. The other puppies laugh. They've all had their turns. The Elders watch closely, but that's nothing new. It's their favorite thing to do.

The Puppy's Born. Gods Bless the Puppy!

Finally. After the long, long wait, the newest member of the pack is here. K-9 Town is celebrating like never before, and that's saying a lot. I got a picture. I wanted to be there, then suddenly there I was. Don't know how it happens and I don't care. I love peeping around. I do think Omar "feels" my presence.

Only one puppy though. The komondor Rasta Mama had foreseen this and mentioned it to Omar Blue, who didn't give it a second thought. None of the pack has said a word about it either. They have another puppy to love. That's what they care about. What they have, not what they could have had. What a pack!

They've named him Beauregard. Isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen? Pure black. Seems I'm the only one wondering if he'll be poodle or rottweiler. The pack could care less.

Puppy Beauregard. Loved by all.
The puppies decided he looks like all of them. Because they all look like each other. Must be a puppy thing. "Can he come out and play. We've been waiting for him. We have stuff to teach him."

Poodle Sophie and rottweiler Brady are no longer tired. They're ready for the celebration, which had already started, of course. I'd never seen anything like it. It was almost like a ritual. Under the full moon, as they howled and danced around, they started to glow. The ground beneath them also glowed.

What an experience! I knew no one would believe me, again, so I made sure I got a picture of it. It was very dark, but beautiful under the stars as you can see.

I wish I could ask my Omar about this but I don't think I'd better.

SOPHIE JEAN IS EXPECTING!!!

I knew something was happening. Omar has been acting strange for days now. I finally got it out of him. Poodle Sophie Jean and rottweiler Brady the professor are having pups. Now how kool is that. All of K-9 Town is buzzing with joy. The puppies think its the best thing to ever happen to "them." They are sticking to their schoolmarm like glue. Each one, and we do have many little sizes and shapes, thinks the new pups will look just like them if they stick closest to Sophie. Here I caught poor Sophie looking back to see if she had escaped them. They had just spotted her and were coming fast. "Don't worry, here we come." Omar says Sophie's loving every bit of it. As usual, the Elders aren't supposed to know why they are being so attentive.  Those puppies, always up to something. The Elders mainly just let them have fun. Soon enough, they will be standing with the rest of the pack, alert to the dangers that surround them. Proud dad, rottweiler Brady is just beaming. He and the female Elders will make sure Sophie gets her rest.

Bee Bee's past catches up with her

As you can see to your right. Penny the springer spaniel came back again for Omar.  Didn't know then why he couldn't wait to leave. Excited again and ready to be back with his pack anyway. It took me a while but I got going too. Still don't know how I do that. I got us some more pictures too. Wow!  That K-9 Town. See what's going on now. So exciting. This town is really growing. I'll start from the beginning....

WHEN BEE BEE CAME TO TOWN

(Chapter 10)

Was a quiet day
with nothing to do
in K-9 Town, USA.

The Elder males lounging
though always alert
the puppies what else
at play.

The females were happy
cause Bee Bee had come
the beautiful afghan hound.

She was sharing her past
from beginning to last
while they listened
not making a sound.

Now a member of the pack
Bee Bee opened a special space
where she styled their hair
and painted their toes
what a wonderful gathering place.

Back to the Elder males we go
over under The Big Oak Tree
where Paco the angry chihuahua
was voicing his misery.

“She wouldn’t get my food last night
She said her nails were wet.
Her hair was slick and shiny
she said, ‘Don’t touch it yet’.

Now what am I supposed to do
my Conchita acting like this?
She looked so good and beautiful
I only wanted a kiss.”

The Males could only
laugh out loud and
make big fun of him.
They decided not to tell him
the same was happening to them.

“In addition to this” said Paco
“My male triplets
Lee, Lii and Luu
say if their mommy
gets her nails painted
they want theirs painted too.”

When they heard this
the males broke out
their laughter loud but dear
then Omar Blue
who was laughing too
said “Bee Bee can paint them clear.”

In the mist of all
the laughter now
another voice was heard
the pack went suddenly quiet
not one of them said a word.

It was coming from over
near Bee Bee’s space
a male voice they could hear
he was calling out “Ms. Bee Bee”
he’d come from who knows where.

Was Komonder Kooley
newest to the pack
thought he saw a problem here
then Rottweiler Brady
said to him
“Down boy
ain’t nothing to fear.

The females are in there with her
so sit back and watch the show
that bulldog’s in more trouble
then he could ever know.

They like to handle things like this
don’t need no help from us
if we go running down there now
we’ll get a month of fuss.

They’re in there talking
to Bee Bee now
and setting up the scene
they’ll leave it up to Bee Bee
come out nice
or come out mean.”

It was Bee Bee doing the talking though
“I told you all about him
he used to be my male friend
his name is Bulldog Jim.

I don’t know why he came here
I told him we were through
the only reason he’s following me
he’s got nothing better to do.”
Bulldog Betty spoke up then
“I’ll talk to him for you
you don’t have time
to mess with him
you got more hair to do.”

The females grinned
“We’ll watch you
Bee Bee said he’s not a threat
just looking for the right female
and hasn’t found her yet.

Your hair and nails have all been done
you are a pretty sight
let’s see if you can reel him in
he can meet the males tonight.”

When Bulldog Betty
went out to meet
the dashing Bulldog Jim
she looked just like
a K-9 model
as she walked up to him.

“What is this place?” he asked her
with a pleasant smile on his face
no longer thinking about Bee Bee
cause Betty was more his pace.

“We live here with our leader,” she said.
“His name is Omar Blue
he and the other male Elders
are somewhere watching you.

We settled down about a year ago
one bright and pretty day
decided to make this place our home
K-9 Town, USA!”

It was then the other
females came
Bee Bee was with them too
the way they circled Bulldog Jim
would sure scare me or you!

Now Bulldog Jim
was used to seeing
beautiful females before
but never had he seen so many
walk through just one door.

He knew that although pretty
there was great danger here
he’d watch his words real carefully
and be very much aware.

“First let me apologize
for the way I came in here.
I mean no harm
so please be calm
just needed Ms. Bee Bee there.

I’d like to meet the male Elders
think that’s what I need to do.
I need to speak to your leader
Betty says he’s Omar Blue.

You may have seen
love at first sight
if you watched me and Betty today
so I think I’m gonna ask your pack
if it’s okay if I stay.”

Don’t ask how they heard all this
all the males in Omar’s pack
I guess it’s just that
gift they have
that other packs may lack.

Omar looked at Rasta Kooley
“See it’s just like Brady said
If you had run
down into that
they’d have taken off your head.

Now here they come
to face us
all the females in our pack
we know they’ve already told him
we won’t make him go back.

And look at the new leader
its Rasta Mama today
she’s walking close
to Bulldog Betty
there’s a big dream on the way.”

When the females reached
the male Elders
they introduced Bulldog Jim
but, before they could say
another word
he spoke ahead of them.

“I’m happy to meet
you all today
and very glad that I came
I wanted to see afghan Bee Bee
wanted her to feel the same.

But then an angel
came out to me
Bulldog Betty oh so sweet?
We looked into each other’s eyes
I was knocked off all four feet.

I’m asking if you’ll let me stay
I’d like to stand with you.
Be a member of this pack
and court Ms. Betty too.

Omar said to Bulldog Jim
“We were watching from the start
those females had a plan for you
you’re lucky it was just your heart.”

GUESS HE’LL BE STAYING
Was Rasta Mama who spoke next
but just to Omar Blue
“Omar I looked into your eyes
saw a look that’s new to you.”

It was then that Bee Bee
walked up to him
said “I wish I’d seen it too
cause a ray of hope is all I need
to make my dream come true.”

Omar said to the two females
“You two just settle down
my job is clear
you’re in my care
while you’re in K-9 Town.”

Omar turned and walked away
before they set their trap
had to get back to the Elder males
for more of Paco’s yap.

Rasta Mama turned to Bee Bee
who was watching Omar Blue
“Don’t worry” she said
“Be patient.
Remember… I dreamed about you.”

Omar Blue

I've never had such an experience!

I got caught peeking around taking pictures at the K-9 County Fair. As you will see, something happened to them again. They didn't come out quite right. Not my fault, I'm telling you there's just something about that place. The only thing my Omar Blue can't seem to figure out is how I can get into K-9 Town. I can't either, but as long as I can, I will. Let's talk about the fair. I had a ball. Let me tell you all about it. Plenty surprises.....
THE K-9 COUNTY FAIR
(Chapter 9)

Was a wonderful day
in the neighborhood
of K-9 Town, USA
the K-9 County Fair was back
there’d be plenty of fun today.

The pack had entered
many games
and many contests too
some of them
would just walk around
to keep an eye on their crew.

Omar Blue, wolf Bennie Bay
and lab-dal Major Diggs
decided they’d just walk around
and eat like hungry pigs.

There's a good spot

They came across the big space
that held the poker game
if Rasta Kooley was in it
he’d like it if they came.

Now komondor Rasta Kooley
did enter the poker game
he knew he’d win some furs today
the others felt the same.

The Elders were looking over him
amazed at how cool he played
they’d never seen nothin like it
when the last card had been laid.

Kooley picked up his winnings
the fur was nice and thick
Omar Blue smiled to himself
was he good or just too slick?

He'll keep a few pups warm

Then the males went to the females
their contest was almost due
something to do with hairstyles
can’t guess what, can you?

They knew the komondor Kooley’s wife
and the poodle Sophie Jean
were in this contest to decide
who’d be the hairstyle queen.

The female Elders
worked hard that week
messin with their hair
giving them both
the best hairstyles
of any K-9s there.

The females from the other packs
they had nice hairstyles too
but when Kooley’s wife
 and Sophie came out
Isn't this something Sophie
everyone stopped to view.

The judges were looking hard at them
couldn’t choose but had to try
so after too much time was spent
they called a first place tie.

The Elders were so proud of them
males and females too
the female Elders beamed with joy
cause they shared first place too.

Was the komondor’s wife
who spoke up first
to poodle Sophie Jean
“I’m glad to share this prize with you
and a year of being queen.”

OMAR SPOKE
“Let’s gather up the puppies
it’s been a pretty long day
they sure are having a real good time
but we’d better be on our way.”

The shepherds moved
ahead of the pack
gonna reel those puppies in
they’d get no rest
til the youngins were back
playing in their own Den.

The Chihuahua puppy triplets
puppies Lee, Lii and Luu
had entered the puppy
eight legged race
with 12 legs in full view!

Yeaaaaa! Yeaaaaa!
The judges thought this was okay
cause they wouldn’t keep the pace
but the puppy leaders
with their cheering pals
easily took first place.

As the pack moved out of the Fairgounds
a call to Omar came
it was Bee Bee
the beautiful afghan hound
her eyes held a special flame.

Said, “Omar why you leaving now
can’t you stay awhile?
I’d like to get acquainted
I really like your style.”

I want to go with you!

Omar looked at Bee Bee
she was a lovely sight.
“Gotta get my pack back home” he said
“I’ll return later on tonight.”

When Omar caught up with the pack
all heads turned and beamed
then Rasta Mama said to him
“You two were in my dreams.

The afghan Bee Bee has eyes for you
I think you’re smitten too
she wants to come into the pack
my dream said this she’ll do.

She’ll keep the females happy
she cares for hair and feet
they’ll give you their approval
they think she’s pretty neat.”

Omar just looked back at her
so Bee Bee wanted to stay
he’d let the females work it out
they did the very next day!
